Updated / March 2021.We've found that these lights aren't as long-lasting as we had hoped. One set refuses to charge any longer and the other set is nice and bright and is stuck in "blink" mode. The solar panels were mounted high above the ground facing the south which is where the sun angles from year round. I guess they just couldn't handle a little snow and rain. We have three trees with other brands of lights on them that are all functioning well.In spite of the questionable rate features offered for this product's review (Sheerness from LED lights?) these have been a really good buy for us. We have a good number of trees in our back yard and I've wrapped these string around the trees, giving the entire yard a warm Disneyland-like atmosphere. (Hey! I guess "Warmth" was a valid feature after all!)So far they've held up well through a few rainstorms...we'll have to see how they hold up to a northeast winter. The solar panels are high up on the trees...hopefully they'll handle the snow well.I initially bought 6 of these products but 2 of them quit work after only a few days. I ordered 2 more and while waiting for these 2, 2 more stopped working. I installed the 2 new latest orders and they are working now but yesterday, another set went bad. So out of the total of 8 bought, 5 are now bad. They only last a few days to a week but I need them to light up my PVC split rail fence for security. I tried to splice 3 of the sets trying to fix them but could not. I sent an email recently to ask about sending them back, at least 2 sets but so far, no response. Please assist.Bought two sets of these and threw them over a maple tree in the front yard (right side of photo) I’d like the golden ambience it gives my front yard. The only complaint I have is the solar panel is so small the lights don’t stay lit throughout the night and usually burn out in about four hours.Love these easy to use and easy to charge lights. They are the perfect size and lots of lights on the string. One string was plenty for my needs. So glad I purchased these.Great lights that last a long time onWhile the description, pictures (and included instructions) clearly indicate/imply 'dual charging', the original and replacement set was not. I wanted the option of USB charging and stated so in my return ticket, but received the exact same product/panel as a replacement. Emailing the companies customer service (on the instruction sheet) produced no response. There is no waterproof strip nor female port for a USB charger cable. Otherwise these lights are fine, last about 2 years outside before the panel stops working. I can't be bothered to go through the ordeal of exchanging and having to take these to a store to return, again.They only have 2 modes and that is all we needed. We have these lights in the shrubs and trees and they come on when it get dark and are still on at 4 in the morning. It looks so peaceful when you look out. All the neighbors like them.This is an ideal product when you want just a little light around your tent while camping. We like primitive camping which means no electricity. These little lights run off of solar and the solar panel is removable so you can leave the lights attached to the awning and still move the panel around during the day to catch the sun's energy. They also can be plugged into a USB to charge the battery or simply leave plugged in and run this way. You you can run them off of regular non-rechargeable batteries. Festive, practical and inexpensive little lights to see around a camp sight.Purchased this high priced led light as it has timer cut off function. Worked for two weeks and there were 2 rainy days. Thought light not working as it doesn't get proper sun on raining. But after a week for sunny days it was same. Changed locations and no difference. Opened up to see lots of water inside on this " water proof" "outdoor" unit. Very disappointed. Mailed the seller and no response after more than a week .
