I bought these after my friend bought 2 of another brand and i wanted more for my money so i got on amazon and found these. these are a bargain just as Bright as some the competitor's stuff i have seen at friends houses and you get more for your money 8 instead of a 2 or 4 pack I use these to provide some light around my chicken pens at night so hens keep laying and raccoons and skunks sometimes think twice about coming around I have had these up for almost 8 months know I will say there a lot brighter in summer do to they catch more sun. but threw sleat ,snow , ice and rain and extreme heat all mine are still working 8 months later ..I ordered the 8 pack in black and like them just fine (the 6 that work). Two of the them have something rattling around inside and do not work. Would like to hear from the company about how to replace the two that do not work.Would have given product 5 stars. Am very happy with the way it looks on my fence, except the adhesive pads did not hold well on wood and you have to pry up adhesive pad to change the switch from warm white to cool white. Then doesn’t stick. Called company to encourage them to put a couple of extras in each order, with no success. Had ordered 3 times to cover my yard, but have 4 lying in box with no adhesive pad. None were sent to me. Tried Velcro and that didn’t hold. Willing to buy extra.Not bright enough. I was hoping that the lights would be bright enough to see my dog in the yard at night. I have a 6ft fence which you can see the lights from a distance so if you just want to see where your property line is then I would recommend them. If your looking for them to light up your yard these are not what you would want. I think they would be better for stairs as long as you have enough sun during the day to keep them lit for awhile. If you put these on stairs low to the ground there is a starburst pattern which would be nice. As far as installation I just used the sticky tape as the light are very light weight, but they comes with screws too. There is 2 settings on the lights, bright white and soft white. I did keep the lights but I was really looking for a lot more light!I purchased an initial order of 8. Put them on the deck railing to charge and check lighting duration. After 3 nights of dusk to dawn lighting they seem to perform as advertised. I'm interested to see how they do in December cloudy/snowy weather. I temporary installed them. My purpose for the lights is to illuminate a path along the house and across our deck. They do an adequate job. I did shim the bottom some to throw more light across the paths. At first I wasn't a fan of the lighting pattern. But I think they will do a fine job lighting the paths. Not as bright as the wired system but sufficient for following the pathway. They provide screw hole templates that are a big help and speeds up the install process. They also provide two extra screws per 8 lights. The best use of the double stick pads is helping to remove the protective film over the solar collector. They were 50/50 holding the lights during temporary install. I bought 16 more to complete the project. I installed everything this AM. Tonight will be the big test.Good looking light. Bright enough for what it is extended for. Is not a motion light. Dusk to dawn or until be battery dies. Would buy again.Appears to be a good quality build although I can not yet speak for longevity. Installation was easy with everything included (including templates & hardware to hang). Seems to hold a charge into the wee hours of the morning. My only complaint is that I was expecting these lights to be a bit brighter. They're great as accent lighting but not strong enough to illuminate surrounding area beyond a radius of maybe 3 feet.Great ambience for the back yard. Just bright enough. You can choose white or yellow light. Used velcro to attach to metal posts.Average. No complaint but also no excellence to recommend.
