The solar power reduces the electricity that is needed for usage, but also extension cords and plug ins. Which is such a great idea and easier to use anywhere. Absolutely love mine as a night light on the porch for evening sittings with a soft glow like tea lights.I love the way the lights look. I got the warm white and they are perfect, however I bought 2 of these and put them up and the next day one of the strands stopped working. Not happy about it. I don’t want to return them but I would love for the company to replace them.The lights are fine — small, not too bright, multiple modes. They create more ambient light and do not truly light up an area. My compliant is that one strand stays lit for 5-6 hours but the other one only works for max 2 hours (sometimes just 30 min!) The solar sensors are in the same spot so there is no difference in charging. It doesn’t seem like I can replace the battery so we really only have one functioning strand.I buy two sets ever year and put them up in May. The one set always goes out in July. Twice now I lost two sets of lights. I really like these light but one string always stops working.*** REVISEDAfter I left the below review, the seller contacted me with apologies for the short lifespan, and sent me replacement lights <3The replacements are beautiful and have been installed. I am optimistic that they will hold up better, and I am satisfied that I have a complete set that make our patio look great. I appreciate receiving thoughtful and prompt service, and I would recommend, based on the care they took to make this a great experience.—————————I bought these in August 2020One set had missing globes and I returned them and the seller replaced them, and the replacement was fine, however some of the globes come loose and have to be found and replaced.It’s now March 2022 and about 15% of the lights no longer come on, so the look I loved initially is disappointing.I’d like to replace them but I will look for another brand because I don’t like to wind up throwing away things that should still be serviceable.Loved the brightness and appearance, but quality is not great.They have worked great since I hung them a few weeks ago. Kinda wish I'd gotten colored ones but everyone seems to love these.I got these to try to add some light to my backyard where my chicken and duck coops are. These lights are about the size of a quarter and are not nearly as bright or large as the photos depict. I can’t help but feel ripped off tbhThey’re cute for ambient/decorative light but that’s about it :(And the charge doesn’t last even halfway through the night. The sun goes down around 9, and they’ll be dead by midnight even after charging all day. I’m keeping them because I already have them set up but wouldn’t repurchaseThey are way smaller than the look in the picture the bulb is about the size of a quarter.I want resubmit my written review regarding the lights.Yes the cord was 20 feet and the light a few feet short of that. HOWEVER, when the company heard by unhappy report, they were actually more concerned than I was and offered my a new set of lights and a full refund. I considered that offer, and went back to them and suggested they replace the product with 2 sets of lights and no refund, and it was unbelievable how fast they acted to please me. I am not suggesting they are overcharging, I am simply saying if you have a problem, give them the chance to solve the issue and you will be very happy.I have purchased a double solar lights package, and initially was very happy with them, then there was an issue with the strands not charging fully. I have tried contacting the seller, but my window for communication is closed on Amazon, so it was left at that. Recently the seller has connected with me about my experience with the product and offered to either refund the money or provide a replacement for the product. I have chosen a new set of lights, as they are really charming/warm glow; perfect for a patio or a yard. They have come and work 100%, very happy with the experience from the seller and the product. Excellent follow through from the company.Very nice !For now we are using it since 1 week and it works well.But you must know that you need lot of sun to have a good luminosity.Absolutely love these!! As long as its a nice sunny day and the batteries can charge they last a long time if not all night! If its an over cast day they only light up for a few hrs, which is understandable, they are solar powered.They are not cheap material, they feel sturdy and did not get damaged in our very windy town. Also they have a really long cord from the lights to the solar panel that is great for hanging the lights in trees and still be able to stake the solar panel in the ground
